Many of you know my son Ezekiel has epilepsy due to a genetic condition. He has been seizure free for over three years due to the right mix of medications, and we recently saw his neurologist at the Mayo who can’t believe the progress he’s made. We are celebrating that!
Receiving his epilepsy and gene mutation diagnosis three years ago was gut-wrenching. It was then I took to writing down all of my fears, questions, what-if’s. Only recently did I look back at what I had written and composed it more coherently.
Three years ago, it felt like life as we knew it was over. And it was. But God’s faithfulness never wavered, and it is only through his strength that we have come this far and can celebrate the amazing boy we call Zeke. By the way, the name Ezekiel? It literally means, God strengthens. Oh how he does.
